Synopsis
“The Reunion” is being made by Falmouth University film students as part of their final year project. We want to make something different, ambitious and relatable.
What is The Reunion?
“The Reunion” is an anti-coming of age drama.
The story follows Holly ten years after leaving high school as she receives an invite to the first reunion of her former classmates. After begrudgingly deciding to go Holly catches up with her old friends while being forced to confront her own doubts about her place in life.
Where did the story come from?
Think back to your time at school…
Whether you were popular or it felt like you didn’t fit in, everyone was on the same level; you had your school life and you had your home life.
But when school finishes, everyone enters the “real world” and that’s when everyone’s paths become very different. Some people get jobs as others go on to university. Some may get married, have children and buy a house or they might just go off to see the world and have amazing experiences. It’s easy to compare ourselves to others and wonder why we haven’t achieved those goals, especially today when everyone is sharing their life on social media. But maybe they are only sharing the good stuff? This is what “The Reunion” explores.
